CHILTON COUNTY, AL (WBRC)- A Chilton County dog found skinned alive back in May was attacked by another animal, according to an animal autopsy conducted at the University of Florida.
It was originally thought that "Bama" the pug was skinned with a knife, but experts believe the dog was attacked by a large dog or a coyote.
The pug dog was found near death and without most of its skin in the woods near its owner's home.
News of the dog's attack, and the thought that it was done by a person, generated thousands of dollars in rewards for information.
